earlier today, I posted about how I had recently picked up this crossbody. I felt it deserved its own good buys post because I’ve been really pleased with it. as other reviewers have noted, what isn’t very obvious from the description on the old navy website is that there is a deep pocket in between the two zippered compartments that’s perfect for storing your phone or whatever you’d like to access really quickly. because the pocket is deep, it keeps my phone secure and in place. the two zippered compartments provide a lot of storage, and at least in my color (the lighter brown), the inside has a nice faux-suede lining that I thought was a nice touch. I was also pleased to find that the strap on this is long enough to wear across the body comfortably, and the tassel pulls on the zipper are a nice touch. the faux leather is nice and weighty and doesn’t look cheap or too much like vinyl.
it retails for $29.95, which I think is a great price for such a cute and incredibly functional bag, but old navy often has sales, so this can be picked up for an even better price. I really wanted to give it some love because it’s always nice when you find something that’s great at a more affordable price point. I had been searching high and low for a little tan crossbody that I could take for errands or pack on a trip, and I was just not finding any I liked enough at a reasonable price point. this bag fit the bill exactly and with a lovely price tag to boot.
good buys is a new feature on short&lovely that highlights purchases that are the opposite of buyer’s remorse. some of these purchases were made at a steal; some were purchased for a pretty penny but have definitely proved worthy of the cost through their functionality and quality. who doesn’t love a good buy? :)
