It’s October! I know fall officially begins in September, but October seems like the quintessential fall month – pumpkins are omnipresent, everything gets orange and red, and the weather really kisses summer goodbye. Not that Chicago’s paying attention – today it’s going to be 84 degrees as the high!
Our weekend started a little early last night – we went to go see a late showing of Gravity. It was so good…go see it! The visuals were stunning, as was Sandra Bullock’s performance. It’s equally thrilling and thought-provoking. Seriously…go. Let me know if you do and what you think!
I’m off to a wedding this afternoon, an event for which I was at a lost of what to wear because of the weather/season mismatch. I decided to go with a sleeveless black dress and kitten heel pumps (check out my instagram later on tonight for some outfit and wedding snaps!). My only other option was a very summery looking dress, and I just couldn’t get over the fact that even though it was weather and occasion appropriate, I couldn’t make myself wear flowers in October. Thank God for the LBD.
Saturday looks to be another busy day of errands, but Sunday is free and clear from noon onwards.
Whatever you plan to do, have a great weekend!
